Met Dr Liz Kingston for the first time yesterday Thu.5 Dec 19,at Whiston Hospital where I was having a procedure which entailed a general anaesthetic ,which l was not to happy ,about due to my age etc, and have had local anaesthetics for more serious operations When l told Dr Kingston of my concern ,she took the time to explain the reason why a GA was the best for the procedure I was having, which put my mind to rest When the procedure was done and dusted ,she came and visited me on the ward , to ask “ Had I any questions that needed addressing ?” That’s what I call going beyond the call of duty Thank you Dr Liz Kingston, and of course all of the team

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback about the care you received for your procedure. It is very common for patients to have concerns about anaesthetics, and I find it particularly satisfying to take time with my patients to discuss these concerns and take steps to either reduce risks or explain the risks clearly and reassure them. I am glad you had a positive experience and hope you will feel confident to discuss any concerns you may have in future with your anaesthetist so they can do the same again for you. I hope you are now recovering well.

Thank you for your kind feedback. I make it a personal priority to use the pre op visit to explore any concerns my patients may have about anaesthesia, and to reassure them to help them relax for their procedure. I hope you are now well on the way to recovery.

the care and attention I received from doctor Kingston was first class from start to finish. I was a little bit apprehensive on the day but there was nothing at all to worry about as she made me feel calm and very relaxed immediately. so I have nothing but praise for doctor Kingston and the whole team, and I thank you for a first class experience.
